"EXperiment" was a student magazine, a project created and managed by the Department of Infomation Technologies in Design, Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnical University, Institute of International Educational Programs since 2002 until 2010.
Issues was published twice a year (in May and December). Biggest part of circulation was given out free of charge from displays located in SPbSPU campus.
Distribution of the magazine tooke part from 10.00 till 12.00 on the next morning after a new issue is published.
Originator of the project is Boris BOZHKOV – ass. professor at the department of Information Technologies in Design.
The project stated in 2002 and its main goal was to give a practical support to a prepress course in the university. The students got a possibility to see the results of their work in printed form on a physical carrier.
After a while the project went beyond the scope of the study process, and today "EXperiment" is an international magazine, open for collaboration with everyone despite of sex, skin color, country of residence or religion.

Designer-in-chief
Chief designer of the magazine was chosen from 3rd year students, who study "Printing technologies" course. He gots the possibility to create two issues of the magazine.
His responsibilities include:
- developing a design concept;
- creating a layout for the magazine;
- distributing of work between the participants of the project;
- interaction with chief editor;
- assemblying of materials, control of the work, performed by other participants of the project;
- color correction and prepress;
- exporting a mock-up for printing;
- control of circulation;
- organization of new issue's presentation
